Each month, the Wheelmen routinely plans and develops a ride schedule and posts it on this web page and in our newsletter. There are at least two organized club rides each weekend, coordinated by a Ride Starter. Each ride usually offers short, medium and long mileage options. The Ride Starter typically researches the route for the day to assure its safety and provides maps for the ride, as well as a sign-in sheet with a liability waiver form. He or she is also required to review the San Antonio Wheelmen pre-ride safety briefing with the riders prior to the ride.

Several times a year, the Club offers a six-week Rider Education Series, open to members and non-members, that covers bicycle basics, use of gears, repair of flats, hill climbing, communication and maintenance. Plus, class members ride together, gradually adding miles each week.
We encourage you to come out as our guest on a few organized weekend rides prior to joining the San Antonio Wheelmen. We are living in one of the best areas in the country for year-round cycling and I hope to meet you personally on one of our rides.
